Patients often come to Human Health Advocates with hospital invoices and explanations of benefits (EOB’s) from their insurer, unsure as to their financial responsibilities. To ensure accuracy and avoid erroneous or unnecessary payments, we review your medical bills and the corresponding insurance determinations. We regularly deal with invoices from hospitals, including emergency room treatment, inpatient care, outpatient procedures, rehabilitative treatment, and other hospital services. We also deal with invoices from diagnostic facilities, laboratories, physicians, and other providers.
After a thorough analysis and reconciliation of statements, we attempt to give the most accurate picture of a client’s situation and potential routes to follow to successfully address any issues.

Post review, we may suggest and, with your approval, initiate corrective action on your behalf. In such cases, we may interact with providers to ensure that you do not pay more than necessary.
